3. Access the website of the Copyright Office and then access the Compendium of
U.S. Copyright Office Practices. Review Chapter 300, Section 313.2 to answer
the following questions:
• Is a painting by an elephant copyrightable?
• Is a claim based on driftwood smoothed by the ocean copyrightable?
• Is a photograph reduced from 5 x 7 inches to 4 x 6 inches
copyrightable?
