Betty Lou Jo heard a loud crash. As she came around
the corner from her office, she saw the Ming Vase, valued at three million dollars,
shattered on the floor. Bubba, who works in the loading dock, was standing
scratching his, uh, his head. "I guess I should have been more careful."
Bubba has vanished. The company is now being sued for the value of the vase.
At trial, the company claims the vase was broken during shipment, but the insurance
company wants Betty Lou Jo to testify as to Bubba's statement. Is it hearsay?
